Your personality type describes your past, not your future

Say this

A personality test asks what you've done and how you've felt. Then it hands you the result in the present tense, as if it were a fixed property. Nothing in the method supports that tense.

Every description has two sentences hidden in it. An observation: I'm quiet in groups. And a conclusion you added: so I can't lead. The first is data. The second is a guess.

At fifteen I said maths wasn't my thing. I design software systems for a living now. The description was right about my past and wrong about my capacity.
